Abstract :
This paper describes the ground control system (GCS) of the Smart UAV at the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI). The requirements, configuration and features of the GCS are detailed. And the functions of the pilot bay and observation bay are verified through the analysis of results from the ground and flight tests using a 40% scaled plane. It is also planned to develop a transmission console that provides remote receiving stations with visual information obtained from the UAVs.
