Abstract :
The structure of a multi-stage water pump was introduced simply. The flow fields of the multi-stage water pump were created by Pro / E software, which were imported Gambit. Divided grids use unstructured tetrahedral partition. Based on N-S equations with the standard κ-ε turbulence model, the whole flow fields of multi-stage water pump by two different impellers were simulated. The analysis of the two impeller blades speed, pressure and turbulent kinetic energy distribution rule is focused on. The performance of the pump was predicted. The impeller suitable for the performance is chosen. Numerical simulation and multi-stage pump experiments in different conditions are made, and the results are compared and analyzed.
