Abstract :
A frequency tunable microwave reaction cavity based on a quarter of wavelength coaxial resonator is designed and fabricated, while the experimental results are presented. This cavity is able to resonate at different frequencies within the range of 500~1000 MHz by only adjusting the length of the inner conductor. As such, a wide frequency tunable bandwidth can be fed by a new type coaxial probe. Within the range of 500-1000MHz both simulated and experimental results demonstrate the ability to process material.
