Abstract :
This paper briefly introduces the basic principle of unified power flow controller (UPFC) and the PSASP user-defined modeling. Full consideration to the electrical characteristics of UPFC device and its energy transfer with the power system, established the power flow model of UPFC basing on the power injection method, then the power flow model of UPFC based on the Power System Analysis Software Package (PSASP) is built by use of the User-Define Modeling function of PSASP, and finally used the IEEE-14 bus system to show the feasibility and effectiveness of the model.
