New integrated polarization-independent acousto-optic tunable filters employ focused acoustic beams on X-cut Y-propagating LiNbO3 substrates to achieve sidelobe suppression above 15 dB and a 0.7 nm FWHM bandwidth over a 100 nm tuning range
