Abstract :
The mushroom-like EBG structures with different number of vias are presented and investigated. Theories are given to analyze the parameter ratio relations between the two-via structure and the one-via structure. After being validated the correctness, the direct transmission method is used to derive the characteristics of the structures. Then the two-via EBG structure is cascaded with the one-via EBG structure, and the results show that the band-gap of the cascaded structure almost covers the bands of the two structures with different number of vias, which validates the fact that the bandwidth of the multi-via cascaded structure can be broadened effectively.
