  • Abstract
    This paper describes the steps involved in designing an epoxy potting formulation for an ignition coil. There are several key coil design features that need to be initially determined. Then a general potting formulation can be devised using in-house knowledge. The encapsulant formulation can then be optimized with in-house electrical and mechanical testing before a trial potting run
