Abstract
This paper is concerned with the analysis of outrigger trusses in hybrid structure on a background of project. Several types of outrigger trusses are applied in a hybrid tall building to enhance the stiffness of structure and to weaken the abrupt change of inner force in strengthened stories. Comparing the effects of small size outrigger trusses and large size outrigger trusses under frequent earthquake, a new concept of outrigger, mixed outrigger, is proposed to ease the conflicts. The results of analysis indicate that the mixed outrigger trusses have significant advantages and can be utilized in hybrid tall buildings.
