Abstract :
The blood glucose control is a significant part of the medical practice regarding diabetes and critically ill patients. This paper presents a time-delay model of the cardio-vascular system implemented in a predictive control structure for the controlling of the blood glucose level. The Smith predictor was used in order to synthesise the control law.
