This article introduces the character of carbon fiber, optical fiber, hollow glass fiber, outlines the application of these high performance fibers in smart concrete, such as self-detecting of damage, temperature regulation, transportation navigation, internal fissure examination, self-repairing etc. Through introduced new high performance fibrous material into structures, the development of building materials become more active.
