Abstract :
The paper describes the somewhat bizarre waveforms generated when ultra-wideband pulses impinge on-or are radiated from-a large antenna from/to a direction other than that to which that antenna is matched or steered. It explains how these signals arise, what form they take, and how they can be exploited for extracting the direction of arrival with high accuracy
