Abstract :
INSTANT (short for INSTalled ANTenna performance) is a ray-tracing software suite that accurately predicts antenna behaviour, including antenna-antenna interactions, in the presence of conducting bodies, such as aircraft, ships and land vehicles. Special features of INSTANT are its direct use of a NURBS (non-uniform rational B-spline) representation to model surfaces and its employment of computer graphics techniques to treat the consequent ray intersections with bodies in a reliable, accurate and efficient manner
