Abstract
Sparse arrays are attractive for wide range applications such as radar, sonar, wireless communications. This paper addresses the problem of determining the directions-of-arrival (DOA´s) of narrow-band emitter signals impinging on a rectangular sparse array. The array incorporates several identical widely separated subarrays. Unitary ESPRIT - based DOA estimator is obtained for this class of sparse sensor arrays. Simulation results are included to show the performance of proposed estimator
