Abstract :
We use a novel representation of the Green´s function for a lossy rectangular cavity in order to directly obtain the current distribution on an enclosed active dipole antenna by means of the method of moments. The Green´s function is obtained by the Ewald sum technique and characterized by very good convergence properties in both the source region and near cavity resonances. For a fixed excitation it is recognized that the electromagnetic coupling critically depends on the antenna radius and the quality factor of the cavity.
