  • Abstract
The corner reflector has been widely used to increase the directivity of antennas. When excited by a tilted dipole, it is capable of producing elliptically or circularly polarized radiation. The method of moments is used for calculating the input impedance, gain and radiation patterns for two cases. In the first case continuous grounded conducting plane reflectors were used with the method of images. In the second case grid-type plane reflectors consisting of parallel wires of suitable radii, separations and lengths are used directly without the method of images. A good agreement between results is indicated. A parasitic linear element is then added parallel to the feeding element. The resulting effects on the antenna parameters are reported.
