Abstract :
Single layer polysilane based organic light- emitting diodes (OLEDs) are fabricated by inserting a thin layer of LiF between the emissive poly(n-butylphenylsilane) (PS-4) layer and Al cathode. It was found that the current in the devices is significantly enhanced as compared to devices with Ca/Al electrode. The enhancement may be caused by the increased electron injection due to the tunneling through LiF layer. Additionally, devices with LiF/Al cathode show reduced white emission when compared to devices having Ca/Al cathode.
