Abstract
The exact solution for the problem of uniform plane wave diffraction by a perfectly conducting half-plane is expressed in a form similar to the uniform theory of diffraction (UTD) solution. Hereby, a modified UTD diffraction coefficient is identified. The solution is further rewritten in order to facilitate comparison with the uniform asymptotic theory of diffraction (UAT).
