Abstract
There is considerable interest within the wireless community in the statistics of joint angle-of-arrival and time delay for signals arriving at a smart antenna for both indoor and outdoor propagation environments. These data are required for engineering smart antennas. In this letter we present the FDTD technique combined with adaptive array signal processing to simulate smart antennas in multipath channels. We also present results of measurements of joint angle-of-arrival and time delay for an indoor environment.
