On the issues of web-based college English autonomous learning in China

Web-Based autonomous learning offers a new learning platform for college students, which has drawn the national and worldwide attention both in theory and in practice. It brings students chances to overcome the limitation of traditional teaching mode. But this new teaching tool also has some shortcomings. This paper aims to analyse the advantages and disadvantages of the web-based autonomous English learning at college in China and puts forward some countermeasures to improve the learning effects as well.
