Abstract :
Simplified equations for calculating the total reflection and transmission from a multilayer infinite and finite dielectric structure are presented. These formulas are based on examining the reflected rays within such a structure and working out an explicit form where possible. The purpose of this study is to build a simplified simulator for ground penetrating radar.
