Abstract :
This work presents 60 GHz small mobile transceiver (SMT), with integrated IF modem, for millimeter-wave over fiber communication systems. In this system, the transceiver integrates a 60 GHz transmitter, receiver, and IF modem in one module. The system has the following characteristics: high data rate (155.52 Mbps), small size (130 mm×80 mm×3 mm), and pico-cell service area for wireless LAN or road-to-vehicle communication (RVC) in the intelligent transport system (ITS).
