Abstract :
An effective technique to compress the height of Peano fractal loaded monopole antenna by enlarging the top-loaded pattern and loading lumped RLC elements is present. Resonant frequency of the antenna can be decreased by enlarging high order fractal pattern. The antenna can be matched to a 50-ohm coaxial line by loading lumped RLC elements without external matching. Simulation indicates that when the lateral dimension of the top increases only 50%, the electrical height of the antenna will decrease 50% than the conventional one.
