Abstract :
The Avionic Systems Division (ASD) of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) has been involved in the development, review, and support of military standards for over the past twenty years. The author describes the present organization and activities of the ASD and the services provided. Some of the successes within the standardization efforts are highlighted. The methodology and techniques for liaison with the government and other international standardization efforts are described
