Abstract
Direct and iterative solution techniques of equation systems used in finite element method are analyzed. Comparison of these techniques, their advantages and drawbacks are characterized and recommendations for their applications are presented. Methods are analyzed by performing the modeling of the symmetrical electronic optical system using software package ANSYS/Emag. Electronic optical system modeling performance evaluation algorithm and technique was designed. After the modeling the performances of equation system solution methods were compared against each other.
