Abstract :
This work extends the frequency-resolved optical gating (FROG) technique to the measurement of ultracomplex (supercontinuum) and ultraweak light pulses. Use of FROG for ultracomplex pulses simply requires sufficient bandwidth, which is achieved by angle-dithering a nonlinear crystal.
