Abstract :
A new soft-switched reluctance motor drive circuit is proposed, involving only four transistors. The circuit yields less EMI, because of soft-switching, and the output torque is increased by means of reduced current-pulse tail-length. As this circuit utilizes only one series switching device from DC source through winding, the system efficiency is also increased
