As an important macroeconomic variable, exchange rate has a huge impact on international trade. This paper selects monthly total export data from 1996 to 2009 as sample data to make an analysis on the effects of RMB exchange rate volatility on China´s exports. In order to make a comparison, this paper also selects China´s exports to the United States as samples to study the effects of RMB exchange rate volatility on different commodities. The paper draws the conclusions that the effects of the RMB exchange rate volatility on China´s exports are different in different situation and the RMB exchange rate volatility has different effects on different commodities.
