Abstract :
The analysis of the oscilloscope low frequency behavior is here proposed starting from its time step response. The method is very sensitive, in fact it allows to detect also small deviation of the frequency response (of the order of 1%), mainly due to imperfect trimming of the front end divider of the oscilloscope. A description of the step generator used in the test is also included, and the characteristics of its output are evaluated both experimentally and by simulation
