Abstract
Mosaicplasty is a surgery name that transplant osteochondral grafts for osteochondritis dissecans. In mosaicplasty, cylindrical osteochondral grafts are harvested from normal area, and transplanted to injured area. A surface profile of the cylindrical osteochondral grafts effects clinical outcome after surgery. Therefore, this study proposed an analysis method of the surface profile. In this study, the knee is targeted for analysis. A proposal method analyses an effect harvested area for the surface profile. In the experiment, six cadaveric knee are used. A vertical interval of the surface profile was compared between edge and top. In the results, the vertical interval of the edge was larger than the top. In conclusion, the proposal method indicates a difference of the surface profile from the harvested and transplanted areas.
