Abstract :
Recent researches have established origin-based user equilibrium algorithms to the traffic assignment problem in urban networks. The origin-based algorithm (OBA) and the algorithm B are typical of them. This paper proposes an improved algorithm based on the origin user equilibrium (OUE) algorithm and provides its procedure briefly. Convergence performances are compared with other algorithms by different size of urban transportation network. The improved OUE algorithm is more efficient and converges satisfactorily in a practical application.
