Abstract :
Automatic threshold segmentation or magic wand processing usually can´t perfectly extract target from a color image with complex background. A method combining color threshold segmentation with the magic wand processing is proposed to solve this problem. The thresholds in H, S, L color plane are respectively set on the HSL model to avoid single gray variation. Combined with morphological image processing the boundaries of the object and background of the image is more obvious. The magic wand processing is used to extract the object from the background. Experiments which designed based on LabVIEW and NI-IMAQ Vision can greatly shorten the developing cycle and can be easily implemented and maintained. The results show the method proposed above work better than the usual method.
