Abstract :
In this paper we present uncertainty budgets for measurements with a split-cylinder resonator for dielectric material characterization. A Monte-Carlo analysis as well as a method using local derivatives are applied. In order to reduce the measurement uncertainty we also investigate a systematic error resulting from the split-cylinder resonator model, and we present results for several materials over a wide range of the parameters permittivity and substrate loss.
