Abstract
This paper presents a study of the effects of the doped-fiber length and reflectivity variation in the flatness of the tunability curve of an erbium doped-fiber ring laser. The flat tuning over a broad spectral width is discussed using different couplers and doped-fiber lengths in the ring. The results show that the reflectivity and the doped-fiber length affect the cavity response. We obtain the doped-fiber length and reflectivity which improve the laser performance. The tunability of the device is also improved
