Abstract
A simple method is presented for electrically shifting the phase center of an array by an arbitrary distance. This is accomplished by adding an amplitude slope to the array excitation function. For an array with uniform illumination a formula for calculating the amplitude slope is given. For other excitation functions a similar formula can be numerically determined.<>
