  • Abstract
    A new method of voltage regulation of the constant frequency (CF) zero voltage switching (ZVS) quasi-resonant converter (QRC) based DC-DC switched mode power supply is presented. The output voltage of the half wave (HW) CF-QRC varies, when the load and the input voltage changes. To maintain constant output voltage, a closed loop system with a PI controller is proposed. The present work deals with the design and implementation of CF-ZVS-QRC operating in the HW mode. A high-speed microcontroller is used for the realization of a PI controller and for the generation of trigger pulses for the switches. The experimental results are compared with theoretical results and they closely agree with each other
