Abstract :
The paper presents a robust digital watermarking algorithm based on the fractal dimension in color images. First, R, G and B planes of the host color image are divided into blocks with fixed size of 8×8. Second, the concept of fractal dimension is used to select edge block positions in the R plane as embedding positions in G and B planes. Third, the characteristics of the human visual system (HVS) and the relationship among DCT-coefficients are applied in the embedding procedure. During the extracting procedure, the original color image is not needed. Experimental results show that this algorithm can get good perceptual invisibility. It is also robust against geometry attacks and low-pass filter and high-pass filter processing.
