Abstract :
A new location algorithm uses midperpendicular plane segmentation is given for DOA/TDOA location system. This approach first plots all the location results into a cuboids, cuts the cuboids into some cubes, then uses midperpendicular plane segmentation to eliminate some cubes which are not existing awaiting location nodes, and gets the mean of the left cubes´ centroids as the final location result. The simulation result indicates that the new method increases the location precision, avoids the iterative starting value selection, guarantees the location method´s validity and reduces the work load.
