Abstract :
Based on a discussion of the properties of the MFQ (maximally flat quadratic) model and its influence on MMIC yield optimization, a model enhancement scheme and two prevention and correction mechanisms for the optimizing process are presented to enhance convergence of yield optimization accelerated by the MFQ-model. Their effectiveness is demonstrated by yield optimization of a microstrip filter, which reduces more than 50% optimization rounds to approach the optimal centering
