Abstract
Based on the event-related synchronization/desynchronization phenomena in the motor imagery EEGs, the wavelet packet transform is applied to decompose C3 and C4 channel signals into different rhythms and extracts the EEG energy of μ and β rhythm. The feature extraction is realized by using EEG rhythm energy ratio. Features extracted by this method fully reflect the characteristics of the motor imagery EEGs. The recognition result proves the efficiency of the method.
