Abstract :
During long international flights, many factors determine the different individual sensations of cold and heat, dryness and humidity experienced by passengers. Among the factors at play on an individual´s climatic preferences and ability to respond to climatic conditions, the clothing choice and variance in departure and arrival temperatures. The desire to satisfy the modern ambient criteria (i.e. individual passenger preference) has indicated the need and desirability of a new and more individualized program for temperature control. The topic of this paper is a simplified computer model for a system which employs fuzzy logic in conjunction with specialized seat design (developed by FIMAC) to create a personalized environmental control system. Our proposed system couples two fundamental climate control methods for regulating temperature in micro climates: heating and dehumidification by means of air circulation
