Abstract :
The paper presents the schematic diagram of the three-phase 6/8 structure switched reluctance motor drive for application in the traction of an electric bicycle. The models of the turn numbers of per phase winding, the resistance of the stator phase winding, the copper loss in the motor and the on-state loss of the power converter are given. The calculation of the systematic efficiency and the peak value of phase current of the drive at the rated operating condition with the different supplied voltage of the phase winding are made. The output torque, the output power, the systematic efficiency and the peak value of phase current of the drive at the different velocity of the bicycle are tested. It shown that enhancing the supplied phase voltage contributes to increase the travel course with single charging and reduce the costs of the hardware
