  • Abstract
The language teaching-learning process is an entirely interactive communicative process. The integration of adequate information and communication technologies (ICT) in the right place and at the right time plays a determining role regarding language learning efficiency. The development of language competencies and the training and teaching of English for military purposes to officers, public officials and civil servants can be efficiently realized in organized forms partly by networking the already existing multimedia learning material for military English and by dynamic database extension. This paper outlines the opportunities available for setting up an effective and motivating Internet-based language teaching course. Furthermore, it classifies the modern educational technological solutions accessible for language teaching purposes ranging from multimedia through hypermedia to different LAN, WAN and VPN network solutions.
