Abstract
The interaction between structures and fluid can be fully taken into consideration through aeroelastic models which can reflect the characteristics of the structure´s force and the response form in atmosphere boundary layer. The aeroelastic models become an important method to research the wind-induced vibration of structures. In this paper, referring to the derivation method of similarity criterion in the classical fluid mechanics, the structural dynamics similarity criterion of cable-membrane structures is deduced. Each similarity criteria is discussed and selected. The similarity criterion for aeroelastic model wind tunnel test of cable membrane structures is summarized. And we specially demonstrate that the Froude number criterion is not necessary for such test, which will greatly simplify the design and fabrication of the model
