Abstract
To discuss the non-thermal effects of microwaves at cellular level, microwave exposure system, to irradiate culture cells with pulse modulated microwaves , has been developed. In the system, the culture cells are inserted into a cavity resonator. The result is compared to that using continuous microwaves as well as conduction heating. The result shows that the survival rate of the cell is decreased when using pulse modulated microwaves under condition that the temperature is over 41°C
