Abstract
In this paper, a reconstruction algorithm for a layered media cylindrical shell is presented, in which a new linearization technique is proposed to ensure the uniqueness of the solution. The linearization procedure is carried out for a nonlinear algebraic equation, other than an integral equation. In this way, one can avoid the procedure of transforming a nonlinear integral equation to the Gel´fand-Levitan equation
