  • Abstract
In this paper a new technique for de-noising biomedical signals using wavelets is presented. In this method, genetic algorithm (GA) is combined with wavelet de-noising technique. According to input noisy biomedical signal, by using genetic algorithm, a wide range of filters will be tested and the best of them will be chosen. In the other words, a special wavelet for any biomedical signals with any waveforms will be found using this technique, which is not the same as common wavelets. In this method, GA chooses the best wavelet that has the best signal to noise ratio (SNR). As an example some noisy ECG signals are de-noised by using this technique.
