Abstract :
Room air conditioner (RAC) is widely used as a indoor thermal environment conditioning equipment in residential buildings, the characteristics of space cooling load influence RAC design and indoor environment dramatically. Space cooling load, including sensible cooling load and latent cooling load, sensible heat ratio (SHR) at different times are calculated in an apartment bedroom in Grangzhou and Beijing separately; indoor relative humidity variations under different RAC equipment SHR and space SHR conditions are analysed. It is suggested that the design of RAC should be according to the characteristics of space cooling load in different areas.
