Many CIM User Group members are also instrumental in IEC committee activities. This presentation describes the annual cycle of CIMug and IEC meetings and explains how the task force process works. The life cycle of an issue is presented, from discussion through submission, analysis and resolution. The CIMug implemented a major redesign of its web-based collaboration environment in 2008 in order to support and expedite this process. This environment is discussed and demonstrated. Current issues and challenges to CIMug interaction with IEC are considered, along with possible options for improvement.
