  • Abstract
    Thorough summarizing the earthquake damage of the towns and villages housing, and the reason why the traditional ring beam and constructional column are difficult to implement in town buildings, the seismic techniques of fabricated constructional column and ring beam was proposed for different intensity area. The ring beams and constructional columns are characterized by the special lining made of prefabricated blocks. The traditional ring beam and constructional column technology based on cast-in-place should be replaced by masonry construction technology (or part casting but not need support mold). It will be a simple means to improve the seismic capacity of village structure but not to increase the cost of the housing.
