  • Abstract
    Based on ABAQUS modeling platform, simplified modeling of pipeline interface in different directions of water supply network in KGWL zone was conducted, where finite element analysis was as the basic modeling approach. Then dynamic analysis was taken when a known seismic/earthquake wave was input. Through analysis of simulation results, the basis of earthquake damage on pipe interface was determined. Based on the simulation results of straight pipe interface, seismic/earthquake response of four different pipes was calculated through bringing into straining adjustment factor. At last, Earthquake damaging condition of water supply network in KGWL zone was analyzed. Through application it could be found that ABAQUS and the method proposed in this paper is practicable to analyze the earthquake damage to water supply network.
